Melinda Sandon

Melinda Sandon, Founder and Principal Physiotherapist at Matremaga Physiotherapy, completed her physiotherapy degree in 2004. She gained extensive experience in neurological, surgical, and orthopedic fields while working in Sydney and Illawarra hospitals.

Melinda developed a passion for women's health in 2007, becoming an antenatal educator at RPA birth center and delivering her four children between 2007 and 2019. Her personal experience with postpartum recovery and distance running led her to master strategies for optimizing functional movement and pelvic health.

After moving to the northern Illawarra in 2015, Melinda spent eight years in the local private sector, where she trained a team of other physiotherapists in women's health. She also gained further clinical expertise working closely with local obstetricians, gynecologists and colorectal specialists. Melinda endured advanced pelvic cancer treatment in 2023. This gave her unique insight into survivorship, medical menopause, and recovery from surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy. Fully recovered, she is dedicated to helping women achieve optimal health in every season of life.
