Dr Rebecca Goodman
General Practitioner
Rebecca graduated from Flinders University in 2003 and brings over 20 years of experience as a General Practitioner. She has worked in a variety of settings across Australia, including more than five years in Darwin, where she developed a strong focus on Aboriginal health and women’s health.
Rebecca has a deep commitment to women’s health, mental health, and paediatrics. She values continuity of care and building long-term, trusting relationships with her patients, supporting them through all stages of life. Her passion for women’s health was first sparked in 2006 while working with Family Planning in Darwin and has remained a central part of her practice ever since.
To further develop her expertise, Rebecca completed a Diploma of Sexual and Reproductive Health in 2008 and a Master of Public Health in 2010, with a focus on women’s health. She has a particular interest in menopause care and understands the complex and individual challenges women may face as they navigate changing hormones alongside family, work, and personal wellbeing. Rebecca is dedicated to providing compassionate, thoughtful, and evidence-based care, empowering women to feel informed, supported, and confident in their health decisions.
Alongside her clinical work, Rebecca contributes as a Clinical Editor for HealthPathways and works with the WellFemme online menopause clinic.
Outside of work, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her two children, getting lost in a good book, swimming in the ocean, practising Pilates, tending to her garden, and travelling both within Australia and overseas—although Australia remains her favourite place to explore.

General Practice Care
For any age, any gender
Your health story matters. Our GPs take the time to understand your needs so your care feels personal and supportive. From everyday concerns to ongoing health management, we offer clear guidance, compassionate treatment and a steady place to turn to whenever you need it.

Contraception and IUD insertion
If now is not the time for you to be adding to or starting your family, we offer comprehensive advice on contraception. Together we can find a contraceptive method that works for you. We perform insertion of the contraceptive rod (Implanon) and hormonal IUD’s (Mirena/Kyleena). We can also advise on emergency contraception and are accredited providers of Medical Termination of Pregnancy.

Antenatal Shared Care
Women planning to give birth at The Wollongong Hospital (public) may choose the Shared Care model for their antenatal care.
With shared care, the majority of your pregnancy appointments are with your GP, with a smaller number of visits at the hospital antenatal clinic. This model supports continuity of care, allowing you to be cared for by a GP who understands your medical history, values, and family context — and who can continue to support you and your family well beyond the six-week post-partum period.
As part of our commitment to holistic perinatal care, we also offer our shared care patients a discounted antenatal breastfeeding appointment, should they wish to access this additional support.

Embrace Signature Consult - Menopause
This extended consult looks at the whole you—symptoms, hormones, sleep, mood, lifestyle, and wellbeing. You’ll have the time to ask questions, explore your options, and understand how the menopause transition is affecting your body. Together, we’ll create a practical, individualised plan that aligns with your values and supports your physical and emotional health for the years ahead.
