What's On at Embrace Medical This October: Your Wollongong Family Health Calendar

October 5, 2026

October is a full month at Embrace Medical, with a new perinatal intake clinic launching, postnatal groups running weekly, and a new Saturday GP clinic starting later in the month. Whether you're newly pregnant, a few weeks postpartum, or just trying to find a GP appointment that fits around work and school pick-up, there's likely something in this month's calendar for you. Here's what's on, and when.

What is the Mama Base intake clinic?

From Saturday 3 October, Rachel Bridge, our perinatal, child and family psychologist, is running a new intake clinic every second Saturday (3, 17 and 31 October). It's an entry point for families who want to talk through what's going on, whether that's the adjustment to a new baby, a tricky stretch with an older child, or just wanting to know what support is actually available before committing to anything, and get matched with the right kind of ongoing support, whether that's with Rachel directly or elsewhere in our allied health team.

What's on at Embrace Medical this October?

  • Perinatal intake clinic with Rachel Bridge — Saturdays and Wednesdays 3, 14 and 31 October, by appointment
  • Empowered Birth Class with Alyssa Booth - Saturday 3 October
  • Fourth Trimester Class with Alyssa Booth — Saturday 10 October
  • Inclusive Playgroup — Wednesday 7 October
  • Weekly breastfeeding drop-in — Mondays, 10am, no booking required
  • Weekly yoga — Thursdays, 5.30pm
  • Infant massage — 4 week course. Starts Tuesday October 20 10am-11:30am
  • Dr Priya Goyal's new Saturday morning clinic — launching Saturday 10 October
  • Menopause support, for World Menopause Day (18 October)

Why we're running an intake clinic like this

A lot of families don't reach out for perinatal or family support because they're not sure where to start, or whether what they're dealing with is "enough" to warrant an appointment. An intake session takes that decision off your plate. You come in, talk through what's happening, and leave with a clearer sense of what kind of support would actually help, with no obligation to commit to anything on the spot.

How do I book?

Bookings for the intake clinic, the Fourth Trimester Class, Yoga, and Infant Massage can be made directly through our website. The Inclusive Playgroup and Drop in Breastfeeding Clinic don't need a booking, just come along.

This post is a guide to what's on at Embrace Medical, not clinical advice. If you have a specific health question, book a time with one of our GPs or allied health practitioners.
